In order to solve the transitional housing needs of college students and reduce the economic pressure of college students during their job hunting and internship, Xiamen City, Fujian Province has issued policies to provide eligible college students with free accommodation for up to 12 months in total for job hunting and internship in Xiamen. The living security is based on the standard of "one bed" for each person. In principle, two people have one room, and each room can not exceed three people at most. The rent is free during the accommodation period, and the water, electricity, property and other related costs are borne by individuals. More than 2000 beds will be provided in the first batch. In recent years, in order to take the lead in the war of "attracting and retaining talents", many cities have spared no effort to create conditions for retaining college students. One important aspect of "talent introduction" is to create opportunities for talents to experience and become familiar with the city, love it because of understanding, and finally choose to stay. For many college students, especially non local students, they have just stepped out of the campus and often have no income, while renting a house is just a big expense. Xiamen's approach directly addressed the difficulties of college students, gave them solid support, and demonstrated the sincerity and temperature of the city's "attracting talents and retaining talents". It is expected that more cities will join the ranks of "pet" talents, impress college students seeking jobs with more practical ways, and give them a reason to love and take root in a city.
