Twenty years ago, I came to Enshi Prefecture to appreciate the majesty of mountains for the first time. It was the survey of Yiwan Railway.
After many years, I came here again because I participated in the supplementary preliminary survey project of Yichang Fuling Railway to relive the atmosphere of mountains. Seeing the winding mountain road winding through the mountains, I can't see the end; Seeing that the wall hanging road was like a flying ribbon in the mountain, suddenly it stopped at that moment; I saw the Qingjiang River in the valley under the cliff like a giant dragon, roaring eastward... Looking around, I saw magnificent landscape paintings, suffocating beauty!
Even though the preliminary survey has covered the magnificent landscape again, we can't help worrying about the roads circling the mountains. What should we do with the precision survey network of Yichang Fuling Railway? While discussing this issue, the second order leveling assignment of Yichang Fuling Railway came down. Our team was located in Hefeng County. The main line is 65 kilometers long, which is a section with extremely poor traffic conditions. On a snowy winter day, we set out in full and went back to Yifu. In the face of this tough battle, we are ready for twelve points.
Leveling means that we not only have to climb mountains on foot, but also use instruments to measure them step by step, from the top to the bottom of the mountain, and from the bottom to the top of another mountain. It's not too difficult to climb over mountains and mountains. It's just that the road is long and steep. You can measure it with a mirror a few meters ahead. It's like a fool moving mountains. The difficulty is that the mountains are blocked by heavy snow in winter. CPI 150 in the mountains is the first problem we have encountered. It belongs to Jianshi County and its altitude is higher than other places. It has snowed in Yanzi Town. We were worried that it would be harder and harder to get in as the snow grew heavier, so we sent five strengthening teams to grab it at one time. When the snowflakes were getting denser and denser, the team finally successfully completed the joint test. On the way back to Yanzi Town, the trees on both sides of the road have been completely white.
Another problem is Maweigou, Shuanghe Town. In order to improve efficiency, we arranged three teams to move the camp here. The two points are located at the bottom of Mawei Valley. Contrary to the situation in Jianshi County, Shuanghe Town is covered with snow, while the Mawei Valley, which is seven or eight hundred meters higher than the town mark, is full of birds singing and flowers smelling.
However, due to the large elevation difference, the mountain road was not repaired, and it was still a bumpy dirt road. The straight line of more than 800 meters was nearly two kilometers away from the leveling line. After the team's unremitting efforts, they copied from the bottom of the ditch to the mountain in two days. The town on the mountain was still snowing. The driver put the four wheels on the snow chains and drove forward carefully. In another two days, the team copied Shuanghe Town, and in four days, they copied 233 Provincial Highway to join forces in Yanzi Town.
Fortunately, the snowflakes danced for two days and then stopped. The snow in the town has begun to melt. The mountain is a little slower. We put snow chains on the tires of the car and drove slowly to the construction site. Although the progress was slower, we insisted on going out every day to complete a section.
Returning to Yifu, I once again felt a strong feeling of fellow villagers. The villagers saw that we cooked our own food and sent us our own bacon sausages, turnips and cabbage, which tasted delicious and filled our hearts.
Returning to Yifu, let me once again feel the beautiful future of Dashan. This time, we saw the mountains covered with snow and ice, the mountains covered with paths of traffic, the basically popular cement roads, the Yilai Expressway under construction, and the Yifu Railway, which is about to enter the location survey stage. With the gradual opening of roads and railways, the travel of mountain people will be more convenient, the life of mountain people will be more happy, and the measurement team's efforts in snow will be more worthwhile and meaningful!
Returning to Yifu makes me feel the spirit of Yiwan again. The spirit of hard work, momentum, and fear of hardship and fatigue has been passed down from generation to generation among the surveyors and shines brightly.
