Original title: Chinese stories are a treasure trove of "Hanfu" fashion topics

Do you know which sects of Hanfu "Jianghu" are there? Why is it said that "once you enter the Hanfu, it is as deep as the sea. From then on, your wallet is a passer-by"? Recently, Shanghai Yu Garden, founded in 1559, welcomed the first Hanfu Innovation and Copyright Forum. The Report on the Development of China's Hanfu Industry (2022 Edition) prepared by Shanghai Hanfu Copyright Center was launched at the forum.

Why Han Costume Becomes a Hot Spot

In September last year, Shanghai Municipal Copyright Bureau set up the first comprehensive service platform for copyright of traditional Chinese clothing in Donghua University - Shanghai Hanfu Copyright Center to provide all-round copyright services for original clothing design with Chinese characteristics. As one of the series activities of the 2022 World Design Capital Conference, at the first Hanfu Creativity and Hanfu Copyright Forum hosted by Shanghai Hanfu Copyright Center, many experts and scholars from the fields of costume history, intellectual property, art design, cultural communication and market operation discussed the future development of Hanfu from multiple dimensions.

In the opinion of Jiang Zhiwei, the head of Shanghai Hanfu Copyright Center, "Hanfu" has become a phenomenal hotspot for three reasons. First, extensive and profound Chinese culture and colorful Chinese stories are the treasure house for creating "Hanfu" fashion topics; Second, there is no restriction on the prediction of popular trends and the benchmarking of international brands, which provides a broad cultural space for the creation of a unique "Hanfu brand"; Third, the rich clothing of past dynasties and the mature clothing industry chain have greatly reduced the access threshold for "Han clothing design" and "Han clothing industry", which is also the basic condition for "Han clothing Tongpao" to participate enthusiastically.

Exploring the path of Chinese clothing copyright transformation

In July this year, an international brand "plagiarized horse face skirt" caused a great stir. According to Bian Xiangyang, vice chairman of China Fashion Designers Association, curator of Shanghai Textile and Clothing Museum and professor of Donghua University, western designers interpret the image of Chinese clothing by means of reference, transformation and reorganization of Chinese elements. The essence of this "otherness" vision is the imagination of artists, craftsmen and the public about China.

"The development of the Hanfu industry lies first in 'cultural self-awareness'." Bian Xiangyang proposed that the reconstruction of the meaning of Chinese style should awaken Chinese consciousness, enrich creative connotation and promote Chinese culture with Chinese style. "More and more designers are gradually involved in the use of traditional clothing elements, although their appearances may not be as symbolic as those made in the Song Dynasty and the Ming Dynasty. Only by making the industry develop faster, can we provide more products and choices for the people, and naturally more and more people will wear Han suits."

Jia Xizeng, a professor at the Academy of Fine Arts of Tsinghua University, mentioned that in the Han Dynasty, there was a "five time color" system for choosing clothing colors according to seasons; There are also decoration customs of "four seasons flowers" and "seasonal objects" corresponding to the changes of natural scenery in traditional costumes. In today's material civilization is extremely rich, the inheritance and promotion of Chinese traditional clothing culture can not only further strengthen national cohesion and self-esteem, but also help to transform Chinese ancient clothing civilization into valuable spiritual and material wealth, so that it can serve today's people.

Huang Huiyi, the managing partner of Yishuishi, suggested that Han clothing elements could be integrated into Wenbo IP to jointly develop patterns. "Both Wenbo IP and Hanfu are cultural symbols with widely accepted cultural attributes and artistic values, which can easily achieve the effect of 1+1>2 in the circle of culture and art lovers through joint naming."

Jiang Zhiwei introduced that the Shanghai Hanfu Copyright Center focused on "two points and six dimensions" for the original design and development of Hanfu. "Two points" refer to "patterns" and "category items". "Six dimensions" refer to "recreation of historical relics", "re application of new materials", "re expression of scientific and technological means", "re expansion of service scenes", "re derivation of application fields" and "re empowerment of brand building". Through legal authorization, transfer, operation and other commercial activities, realize the commercial transformation and value multiplication of the original design of Hanfu. Shanghai Hanfu Copyright Center will work with Shanghai Silk Group Co., Ltd. and other relevant commercial operation organizations to explore the operation path of effective transformation of Hanfu copyright through two forms of "authorized commercial operation platform" and "authorized cooperation organization".
