In a person's most difficult choice, it is often the hidden inner belief and strength that manipulate him. After a lot of unexpected things and getting along with the Mogao Grottoes day and night, I already feel that I am growing on the branches of this big tree in Dunhuang. Leaving Dunhuang is like being cut off mentally, like being separated from the earth. I can't leave Dunhuang, and Dunhuang needs me. In the end, I chose to stay in Dunhuang and obey the inevitability of life and my inner will.

I am destined to be a guardian of Mogao Grottoes.

I have become accustomed to working at sunrise and resting at sunset like the local people in Dunhuang, and going into the cave year after year and day after day to investigate, record and study. I am used to going into the cave every day, used to the darkness in the cave, and enjoy the first ray of sunshine that shines into the cave every morning. Then I see the face of the Bodhisattva on the mural blushes slightly and smiles.

Someone asked me, where is the happiness of life? I think it is in what human nature requires him to do. A man has found his reason to live, his reason to live meaningfully, and the fundamental force that contributes to the source of all his hobbies. It is this power that can enable him to face all difficulties and finally face time, life and death calmly. All things are bound to leave, and true happiness is to become the true self under the call of your own heart.
