"Literature is ultimately a good thing for others" (excerpt)
Author: Tie Ning
Life has its own reserve. Only when the writer tries hard to squeeze into the depth of life can you have a glimpse of those rich scenes, those soul chambers, those colorful and changeable rhythms, and literature itself can get vitality first. This is the basic premise of creating life, not imitating it. Imitation can produce small favors, while creation can produce great compassion.
Literature should have the power to awaken the vitality of life and pluck the strings that have not yet sounded in our chest; Literature should have the courage to highlight its role in illuminating life, tapping the heart, protecting beauty and exploring the world.
Literature is ultimately a kind thing. A late poet I like wrote a poem about a dog, a dog accompanied by his childhood. He described the kindness of the dog as follows:
His kindness is just right, no less than kindness, no more than kindness. This is a dog's discretion, which sometimes reminds me of my writing attitude.
How difficult it is to make progress. I have to work hard honestly.
