Since the spring of 1942, the Communist Party of China has launched a rectification movement within the whole Party for three years.

Since the Anti Japanese War, the organization of the Communist Party of China has developed greatly, but there are various kinds of non proletarian thoughts in the majority of new party members. In order to adapt to the new situation, veteran Party members also need to further improve themselves. In order to improve the ideological and theoretical level of the majority of Party members, especially senior Party cadres, and enhance the cohesion and combat effectiveness of the Party, the Communist Party of China has launched a rectification movement throughout the Party.

In September 1941, the Central Committee held an enlarged meeting of the Political Bureau to carefully study and discuss the essence of Wang Ming's "Left" mistakes during the period from the Fourth Plenary Session of the Sixth Central Committee of the Communist Party of China in 1931 to the Zunyi Conference in 1935, making full preparations for unifying the whole party's thinking.

In February 1942, Mao Zedong successively made reports on "Rectifying the Party's Style" and "Opposing Party stereotype", and the rectification movement was launched throughout the Party.

From September 1943, the rectification movement of the central leadership went on to the stage of in-depth discussion of the Party's historical issues. From May 21, 1944 to April 20, 1945, the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China held an expanded Seventh Plenary Session of the Sixth Central Committee in Yan'an.

Zheng Shufang, a farmer in Naohaiying Village, Longhua Town, Longhua County, was rated as the "National Model Worker" in 2010.

The series of "Micro classroom in the air - 100 model workers telling the history of the party" was jointly launched by the Chengde Federation of Trade Unions and the comprehensive radio of Chengde People's Radio.
