In 1931, the Japanese Kwantung Army launched the September 18th Incident in Northeast China.

In May 1935, Japanese imperialism began to create trouble in North China and put forward a request to the Kuomintang government for domination in North China.

On August 1, 1935, in the name of the Central Government of the Soviet Republic of China and the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, the "Letter of Appeal to All Compatriots for Resisting Japan and Saving the Nation", or the "August 1 Declaration", called on all parties, armies and compatriots from all walks of life to stop the civil war, concentrate all national strength to fight for the sacred cause of resisting Japan and saving the nation, and organize the national unified defense government and the anti Japanese coalition army to fight against Japan unanimously.

On November 13, 1935, the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China issued the Declaration on the annexation of North China by Japanese imperialism and the betrayal of North China by Chiang Kai shek.

On December 9, 1935, thousands of students from more than 10 universities and middle schools, including Northeast University and Tsinghua University, poured into the streets of Peiping and held a massive anti Japanese and national salvation march.

On December 26, people from all walks of life in the Shaanxi Gansu Soviet Area held a rally to support the anti Japanese and national salvation movement of Peiping and students from all over the country. For a moment, the anti Japanese horn sounded throughout China.

Yu Guiqin is the principal of Gushan Primary School in Chengde County. He was awarded the honorary title of National Model Teacher; In 2010, he was rated as the national advanced worker.

The series of "Micro classroom in the air - 100 model workers telling the history of the party" was jointly launched by the Chengde Federation of Trade Unions and the comprehensive radio of Chengde People's Radio.
