Luquan District Procuratorate Conducts Special Supervision and Inspection to Standardize the Protection of Minors in the "Fuzzy Zone"

In order to comprehensively strengthen the protection of minors, recently, Luquan District Procuratorate, with the cooperation of Luquan Branch of the Municipal Public Security Bureau, carried out special supervision and inspection on some E-sports hotels and private cinemas within its jurisdiction.

In recent years, emerging formats such as E-sports hotel, script killing, on-demand cinema have been welcomed by consumers, including minors. However, there are also blind spots in regulation and governance and risks that affect the healthy growth of minors. The law enforcement personnel carried out on-site inspection on whether the E-sports hotel registered with its real name, whether it received minors in violation of regulations, whether the business license and relevant business permit of private cinema were complete, whether the fire-fighting facilities were complete and effective, and whether the film copyright was legal and compliant. The prosecutor explained to the operator the relevant laws and regulations in the field of juvenile protection, such as the Law on the Protection of Minors, the Law on the Prevention of Juvenile Delinquency, and the mandatory reporting system, and reminded the operator to perform its management responsibilities and resolutely stop receiving minors in violation of regulations.

It is reported that the Luquan District Procuratorate will timely summarize and sort out the problems found in this special inspection, such as fuzzy business standards and unregistered identity information, and strengthen communication and cooperation with relevant administrative supervision departments, implement accurate and effective supervision, escort the healthy, safe and standardized development of new business types, and create a healthy growth environment for minors.
