Recently, Pingshan County, Shijiazhuang City held the 2024 Spring Research and Study Site Observation Meeting of Zhongshan National Research Base at the site of Zhongshan Ancient City.

The delegation visited the Mausoleum Museum of the Kingdom of Zhongshan, the Cultural Experience Museum of the Kingdom of Zhongshan, and the Archaeological Exploration Center of the Kingdom of Zhongshan to learn about the history, culture, and research courses of the Kingdom of Zhongshan. It is understood that the history of Zhongshan is called "the eighth male in the Warring States Period". In the 1970s, with the orderly development of archaeological excavation, more than 20000 cultural relics were unearthed from the ancient city site of Zhongshan. Its unique tomb structure, exquisite bronze casting technology and rich historical relics have caused a sensation in all circles, and it was rated as one of the 100 major archaeological discoveries in China in the 20th century.

Zhongshan National Research Base was planned and constructed in 2015. At present, the base can accommodate more than 2000 people for research activities. Li Hongfei, the head of Zhongshan National Research Base, said that in the future, Zhongshan National Research Base will continue to dig deeply into the curriculum content, strengthen the base construction, improve the team ability, and build Zhongshan into a well-known research base in China.
