[China requests the Philippines to immediately release people and ships] Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Hua Chunying stressed on the 7th that China has indisputable sovereignty over the Nansha Islands, including the Half Moon Reef, and the surrounding waters. At present, the Chinese coast guard ship has arrived at the scene of the incident. China requests the Philippines to give a reasonable explanation and release people and ships immediately.
