2024 China Brand Goods (Central and Eastern Europe) Exhibition Opens in Budapest

Xinhua News Agency, Budapest, June 13 (Reporter Chen Hao) The 2024 China Brand Goods (Central and Eastern Europe) Exhibition opened in Budapest, the capital of Hungary, on the 13th. More than 270 enterprises from 10 provinces and cities, including Shandong, Shanxi and Liaoning, participated in the exhibition.

At the opening ceremony, the State Secretary for Industrial Policy and Technology of the Ministry of Economy of Hungary, Fabian Galgoi, said that China is Hungary's most important partner and one of the largest investors. China's investment in Hungary has promoted innovation and growth in many industries. It is hoped that the enterprises of the two countries will find high-quality partners through this exhibition to further strengthen Hungary China economic and trade cooperation.

Deng Bo, Deputy Director of the Foreign Trade Development Bureau of the Ministry of Commerce of China, said that the bilateral trade between China and Hungary has maintained a steady development momentum despite geopolitical, energy crisis, global supply chain turbulence and other factors. With the deep connection between the "Belt and Road" initiative and Hungary's "opening to the east" strategy, China Hungary exchanges and cooperation are becoming closer and closer, and cooperation fields and modes are expanding.

Chen Yiwei, Minister Counsellor of the Chinese Embassy in Hungary, said that the relationship between China and Hungary had recently been upgraded to an all-weather strategic partnership in the new era, and the two sides would strengthen the docking of development strategies and deepen cooperation in trade, investment and other fields. It is believed that the China Brand Commodity Exhibition will inject new momentum into the practical economic and trade cooperation between China and Hungary, and between China and Central and Eastern European countries.

It is understood that this 3-day exhibition will be hosted by the Foreign Trade Development Affairs Bureau of the Ministry of Commerce of the People's Republic of China and hosted by the China EU Business Logistics Cooperation Park. The exhibits cover six sectors: electromechanical products, hardware and building materials, new energy, light industrial products, textile and clothing, and agricultural products. Among them, mechanical equipment, electrical equipment, parts and other electromechanical products accounted for 50%. During the exhibition, nearly 8000 professional buyers from Hungary, Poland, Slovakia, Serbia and other Central and Eastern European countries will be present.
