The central government will continue to give wage subsidies to teachers in the "special post program". From January 1, 2024, the standard of wage subsidies for special post teachers will be raised. The annual per capita wage subsidies in the central region will be increased from 35200 yuan to 38800 yuan, and in the western region from 38200 yuan to 41800 yuan.

In 2024, the "special post plan" will still be implemented in central and western provinces; We should guide and encourage college graduates to teach in rural schools, and further strengthen the supplement of teachers in such weak disciplines as morality and the rule of law, sports and health, foreign languages, science, labor, art, information technology, mental health, and special education; Support and encourage qualified ex servicemen to teach in primary and secondary schools. The age limit for ex servicemen can be relaxed by taking into account the length of service and other factors; High level colleges and universities represented by "double first-class" construction colleges and universities are encouraged to deliver outstanding college graduates to rural schools.
