Reported that Bombay was hit by gales and heavy rain that day. The accident occurred in Gatkopal District of the city. After the collapse of the iron billboard, vehicles and people were trapped. Rescue workers used cranes, cutting machines and other equipment to carry out rescue. The Indian National Disaster Relief and Emergency Response Force also went to the scene for rescue.

The Mumbai municipal government said in a statement that up to now, 60 people at the scene of the accident have been rescued and sent to hospitals, and another 4 people have died.
