Water Storm Sharing Feast! Qishan Lake Dragon Boat Race starts on Saturday

The wonderful dragon boat race has become a beautiful scenery in Fuzhou. This Saturday morning, as the third stop of the 2024 Dragon Boat Tour of "One Hundred Miles on Water, One Thousand Years of Fujian Capital Painting", the Qishan Lake Dragon Boat Race will be staged in a lively manner.

According to the relevant person in charge of Fuzhou Water Culture and Tourism Company, the competition will adopt the 300 meter dragon boat straight race system, and the final ranking will be obtained through multiple rounds of competition. In the competition, 16 dragon boat teams will operate 12 people national standard dragon boats, and divide them into 4 groups for the "16 to 8" preliminaries, followed by the semi-finals, small finals and finals. The preliminaries are held at 8:30~10:00, and the semi-finals, small finals and finals are held at 10:15~11:00.

In addition to watching the games, citizens and tourists can also enjoy the popular scenic spots such as the 10km round the lake trail and the Red Net Red Bridge Jiaxian Bridge around the Qishan Lake to feel the nature, freshness and comfort of the lakeside. In addition, on the south bank of Qishan Lake Park, there are five ancient houses, which are traditional villages and ancient residences in Fuzhou. The oldest one can be traced back to the middle of the Qing Dynasty, and it is also a must see "clocking point" in the lake.

In addition to the exciting dragon boat watching and comfortable water tour, the Dragon Boat Fair and interesting dragon boat research held at the same time will enrich the experience of watching the race.

It is understood that this Dragon Boat Fair will set up a dragon boat model assembly area, a willow leaf paddle painting area, an intangible cultural heritage exhibition area and a food handicraft booth, reflecting the cultural heritage of Fuzhou's dragon boat.
