According to the reporter, the contract between the former coach Jia Xiuquan and the Chinese women's football team has expired. In order to fully prepare the women's national team for various international events in the new cycle, the Chinese Football Association has launched a new round of coach selection.

Jia Xiuquan began to coach the Chinese women's football team in May 2018. In the Tokyo Olympic Games, he led the Chinese women's football team to three wars, two defeats and one draw. In the just concluded 14th National Games, the Chinese Women's Football United Team won the championship. The coach of this team is Shui Qingxia, the head coach of Shanghai Women's Football Team.

According to the Notice of the China Football Association on the Selection and Employment of the Head Coach of the Chinese Women's Football National Team, the applicant must have Chinese nationality and be less than 60 years old. At the same time, the teaching experience of the applicant must meet one of the following conditions: the head coach of the national team U19 and above, the head coach of the women's football league team, the head coach or assistant coach of the top league of the China Football Association.

According to the selection procedure, the Chinese Football Association will review the qualifications of all candidates and submit qualified candidates to the selection expert group. After discussion by the selected expert group, the candidates for the interview and assessment are determined.

During the interview and assessment, the candidate should state his/her teaching philosophy, team formation ideas and personal advantages through PPT; Summarize the development trend of women's football in the world, and analyze the current situation of the main opponents of women's football in Asia and the world; Introduce the goal and preparation ideas of the Chinese women's football team for the Asian Cup, the World Cup, the Asian Games and the Olympic Games; Answer the questions of the expert group and focus on the comprehensive ability of the candidates.
