Xinhua News Agency, Beijing, June 16 (Reporter Liu Shiping) The Ministry of Water Resources and the China Meteorological Administration jointly issued a meteorological warning for red mountain torrents at 18:00 on the 16th, which is also the first meteorological warning for red mountain torrents in China this year.

The Ministry of Water Resources and the China Meteorological Administration predict that from 20:00 on the 16th to 20:00 on the 17th, there is a great possibility of mountain torrents in some areas of southwest Zhejiang, northern Fujian, northern Guangxi, etc. (orange warning), among which, there is a great possibility of mountain torrents in southwest Zhejiang and northern Fujian (red warning). Other regions may also suffer from flash floods due to local short duration heavy rainfall. All regions need to pay attention to real-time monitoring, flood prevention early warning, relocation and risk avoidance.

Among them, the red warning area involves 7 counties and cities, namely Longquan City and Qingyuan County in Zhejiang Province, Jianou City in Fujian Province, Jianyang District, Pucheng County, Songxi County and Zhenghe County in Nanping City.
