On May 21, in the Yangtze River Rare Fish Cultivation Base of the Three Gorges Group, the artificially bred Yangtze River sturgeon seedlings entered the opening period and ate the red nematode successfully. Technicians monitored the growth of the seedlings well. Yangtze sturgeon is a national first-class key protected wild animal. In recent days, the Yangtze River Biodiversity Research Center of the Three Gorges Group has carried out the breeding work of Yangtze sturgeon in 2024 at three experimental stations. At present, more than 1.1 million seedlings have emerged, a record high. (Photographed by Huang Shanjun, a reporter from Hubei Daily)
