As we all know, Nintendo has initiated copyright litigation against some unofficial modified games for many times to safeguard the commercial interests of its own classic IP. As an obvious "tribute" to "Baokemeng", the character design and play method of "Eudemon Paru" are highly similar to those of Nintendo's representative works in many aspects, which may attract the attention of Nintendo's legal department.
Recently, Tuorong, the head of Pocketpair, the developer of Eudemon Paru, revealed in an interview that Nintendo and Baokemeng had no complaints about the game.
Since the first appearance of this game, its character design has been questioned by people comparing it with Baoke Dream. Although there is no direct reference to "Eudemon Paru", Baokemeng Company issued a statement a few months ago that it would "investigate and take appropriate measures to solve any infringement of intellectual property rights". But so far, there seems to be no follow-up.
"For us, Nintendo and Baokemeng didn't say anything at all. Of course, I like Baokemeng very much and respect it very much, because I was exposed to and appreciated this series in my own growth."
Although there has not been any formal complaint against Paru, in view of Nintendo's consistent strict copyright protection position, once they believe that Paru infringes on the commercial interests of Baoke Dream, they are likely to take strict legal measures.
