The 13th Asia International Maritime Defence Exhibition Opens in Singapore

Chinese Navy Yulin Ship and Red Cliff Ship

The 13th Asia International Maritime Defence Exhibition opened at Singapore Changi Exhibition Center on the 3rd. Several international enterprises demonstrated the latest maritime scientific and technological achievements such as shipborne weapon systems, unmanned systems, and ship power systems. Heads of multinational navies and maritime law enforcement departments will also conduct dialogues around enhancing mutual trust and cooperation in the Asia Pacific region.

In his opening speech, Singaporean Defense Minister Huang Yonghong said that this Asia International Maritime Defence Exhibition provides an important platform for all parties to deepen mutual trust and reach consensus, and hopes that all parties can take this opportunity to contribute to maintaining regional peace and stability.

It is reported that this exhibition attracted more than 200 companies from 25 countries and regions, as well as multinational maritime forces. The Chinese Navy's missile frigate Yulin and mine hunter Red Cliff also went to Singapore to participate in the exhibition, and successfully carried out the "China Singapore Cooperation - 2023" maritime joint exercise with the Singapore Navy to jointly complete the exercises of anti mine guidance passage, maritime supply occupation, live firing of naval guns, joint search and rescue and medical evacuation.

It is four years since Singapore hosted the Asia International Maritime Defence Exhibition, which will end on the 5th. (Yang Jie)
