Yongxin County, Jiangxi Province, is an old revolutionary base area, with more than 400 revolutionary sites all over the county. Since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC), Yongxin Military Area has explored ways to carry out national defense education through red tourism relying on rich red resources. In order to inherit the red flame, Yongxin County selects outstanding party members and cadres from all villages and serves as national defense education lecturers after training. Many descendants of the revolution, Party history experts, and retired cadres have also joined the national defense education group, making use of the cultural auditorium, the new era civilization practice center and other platforms to create a national defense education classroom around the masses.
On September 17, the 22nd National Defense Education Day, the students of Chengda Experimental Primary School in Suzhou High tech Zone, Jiangsu Province had a meaningful day. Ge Haotian, a sixth grader, was excited: "How exciting this weekend is!" Young students are the hope and future of the motherland and the foundation of national defense education. How can we improve the enthusiasm of young students to actively participate in national defense education activities? Suzhou High tech Zone plans military and local education resources as a whole, and constantly enriches the content and form of national defense education for young students' interests and concerns.
