Xinhua News Agency, Beijing, February 2 (Reporter Zhao Wenjun) The reporter learned from the General Administration of Market Supervision on the 2nd that China will strengthen the standardization construction of elderly care and domestic service, meet the diversified and multi-level elderly care service needs, and promote the quality and expansion of the domestic service industry.
The General Administration of Market Supervision, the Ministry of Civil Affairs and the Ministry of Commerce recently jointly issued the Special Action Plan for the Standardization of Elderly Care and Housekeeping Services, which proposed the overall goal of the standardization of elderly care and housekeeping services by 2025, as well as 4 major aspects and 10 key tasks.
In terms of standard system construction, the action plan proposes to optimize the supply structure of elderly care and domestic service standards, and proposes key standard formulation and revision projects from three aspects of supporting industry management, improving service quality, and leading industry transformation and upgrading. Further strengthen the coordinated promotion of standard implementation and industry development planning, reform tasks, special actions, etc., and propose tasks such as clarifying service standards to consumers, improving the standard implementation information feedback mechanism, and deploying 150 standardization pilot demonstration projects in batches.
In terms of standardization capacity building, the action plan proposes to promote the integration of standardized knowledge into skills training for elderly care and domestic workers, and establish an evaluation mechanism supported by standards and covering employees and service institutions. Promote the convergence of domestic and international standards in elderly care and domestic service, strengthen the training of international standardized talents, and support the construction of an open system of high standard service industry.
In the next step, the General Administration of Market Supervision, together with the Ministry of Civil Affairs and the Ministry of Commerce, will continue to pay attention to the real needs of the people, further optimize the elderly care and household service standard system, accelerate the upgrading of service standards, and lead the standardized, high-quality, digital and integrated development of the elderly care and household service industry with standards, forming a new situation of coordinated development of standardization, elderly care and household service industry.
