The airport and SIA confirmed that one person was killed and several people were injured on board.

The head of Suvarnabhumi International Airport, Jidibang, said at the press conference that at present, one person on board was confirmed dead. The dead person was a 73 year old British citizen, and it was preliminarily understood that he had heart disease. Dozens of others were injured, 7 of whom were seriously injured. SIA said on social media that the Boeing 777-300ER passenger plane flew from London to Singapore with 211 passengers and 18 crew members on board. It encountered severe turbulence on the way and made an alternate landing at Bangkok Airport, Thailand. It landed at 15:45 local time on the 21st (16:45 Beijing time). It was confirmed that one person was killed and several people were injured on board.
