Xinhua News Agency, Gaza, May 21 (Reporter Liu Weijian and Huang Zemin) According to the Palestinian news agency, on the 21st, the Israeli army bombed several areas in the north and south of the Gaza Strip, killing at least 19 people.

It was reported that the Israeli army heavily bombed Beit Lahiya, Gaza City and other areas in the northern Gaza Strip on the 21st, killing at least 13 people, including women and children. At least six people were killed in Israeli air strikes on the southern Gaza Strip city of Khan Younis and many areas of Rafah.

The Palestinian Ministry of Health issued a statement on the 21st, saying that Israeli forces killed seven Palestinians and injured nine others in the West Bank city of Jenin the same day, two of whom were seriously injured. Palestinian security officials told Xinhua News Agency that the Israeli army entered the Jenin refugee camp to carry out military operations that day and clashed with local Palestinians. Intense gunfire could be heard at the scene. At present, Israeli military operations in Jenin are still continuing.

On the same day, the Israel Defense Forces issued a statement saying that the Israeli army was carrying out a "counter-terrorism operation" in Jenin, during which several armed personnel were shot.

According to the data released by the health department of the Palestinian Gaza Strip on the 21st, the Israeli army's attacks on the Gaza Strip in the past 24 hours have resulted in 85 deaths and 200 injuries. Since the outbreak of a new round of Palestinian Israeli conflict last October, Israeli military operations in the Gaza Strip have resulted in more than 35600 Palestinian deaths and nearly 80000 injuries.
