According to the electoral timetable, candidates will be registered from May 30 to June 3, and the election campaign will be held from June 12 to 27.

Earlier in the day, Mohammed Islami, spokesman of Iran's Election Commission, said that the Ministry of the Interior had proposed that June 28 should be the date for the presidential election. The election schedule will be officially announced after the approval of Iran's Guardian Council.
