Longyan City is located in the west of Fujian Province, commonly known as West Fujian.Longyan is about 192 kilometers long from east to west and 182 kilometers wide from south to north, with a total area of 19100 square kilometers, accounting for 15.7% of the land area of the province.The terrain of the city is inclined from the northeast to the southwest, in the shape of high in the east and low in the west, with an average sea elevation of 460 meters. Mountains and hills account for 94.8% of the total area of the city.Longyan is a famous old revolutionary base area and an important part of the former Central Soviet Area.As early as 1926, the Party organization was established in western Fujian.
