Gaochun District is located in the southwest of Jiangsu Province, at the junction of Jiangsu and Anhui, and is the south gate of Nanjing. Liyang Wuhu Expressway (Gaochun Wuhu Section has been completed, Liyang Gaochun Section has not yet been completed) and Wuhu Taihu Highway cross the east and west, reaching Suzhou, Wuxi, Changhu in the east and Wuhu in the west. The district has jurisdiction over six streets, namely Chunxi, Gubai, Qiqiao, Gucheng, Dongba and Yaxi, as well as two towns, namely Brickwall and Yangjiang. There are 145 village (residents) committees with a total population of 446000. It has successively become a national ecological county, a national garden county, a demonstration county with full coverage of the national rural community construction experiment, and the best ecological leisure tourism county in China. The eastern part of the territory is hilly. Yaxi Ecological Tour Area was awarded the title of the first "International Slow City" by the World Slow City Alliance, and Youzi Mountain was established as a national forest park.
