Jinzhou City is located in the southwest of Liaoning Province, at the east end of the famous "Liaoxi Corridor".It is connected to Liaohe Plain in the east, Panjin City and Shenyang City, Liaodong Bay in the Bohai Sea in the south, Huludao City in the west, Chaoyang City and Fuxin City in the north. It is about 104.6 kilometers long from east to west and 147.3 kilometers wide from south to north.The total land area within the city is 10301 square kilometers.Jinzhou has jurisdiction over 2 cities (county-level cities), 2 counties and 4 districts, namely Linghai City, Beining City, Yixian County, Heishan County, Taihe District, Linghe District, Guta District and Jinzhou Economic and Technological Development Zone.There are 114 townships and 39 state-owned farms, forestry, animal husbandry and fishing grounds in the whole region.
