Simatai Great Wall, also known as Jinshanling Great Wall, is located in Gubeikou Town, northeast of Miyun County, Beijing, 120 kilometers away from the capital and 60 kilometers away from Miyun County. Simatai Great Wall is famous for its "shock, danger and wonder", and it is the only ancient architectural site in China that retains the original appearance of the Ming Dynasty.

Simatai Great Wall was built in the early years of Hongwu in the Ming Dynasty, and reinforced by Qi Jiguang, the chief soldier of Jizhen Town, and Tan Lun, the governor. This section of the Great Wall was praised by Luo Zhewen, a great wall research expert, as "The Great Wall is the most built in China, and the Simatai Great Wall is the most built in China." Looking at the Great Wall of Simatai at the foot of the mountain, I can see that it leans against the blue sky, stretches across the east and west, and is extremely dangerous. The mountain is like a two-way ladder with people's fingers together. If you climb the Great Wall from the west, you can only see one peak from the side, as if you can climb it hard and take a commanding position. But once we got to the enemy tower at the first peak, we turned to the east and saw another peak approaching us. When you climb the enemy tower on the second hill, look up to the east, and there is a higher peak on it; And looking down, I saw that all the towers on the first mountain were covered. It was really "no ancients before, no comers after." Climbing up to the fourth tower, now it opens up, and the distant village emits warm smoke, looking calm and carefree. The green and yellow vegetation on the other side of the mountain rises one after another, and the flocks of sheep flock in several places, which adds a lot of poetic flavor and reminds people of the poem "cattle and sheep are seen when the grass blows low". Climb onto the sixth enemy tower, which is divided into two floors: the upper floor is a lookout tower; The lower floor is Chengbian soldiers' houses, with windows on three sides and archery holes on the north. The whole building is made of square stones, which looks solid, firm and dignified.
