Introduction to Jilin

Jilin Province is located in the middle of Northeast China, bordering Heilongjiang Province in the north, Liaoning Province in the south, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region in the west, Russia in the east, and the Democratic People's Republic of Korea across the river from Tumen River and Yalu River in the southeast. It is located between 122-131 degrees east longitude and 41-46 degrees north latitude. It covers an area of 187400 square kilometers, accounting for 2% of the total area of the country. It is 650 kilometers long from east to west and 300 kilometers wide from north to south. The terrain is high in the southeast and low in the northwest, and the central and western regions are vast plains. Jilin Province is rich in tourism resources. In Changchun, the provincial capital, there are the former site of the puppet Manchukuo, the People's Street and Xinmin Street that symbolize the forest city, the Soviet Martyrs Memorial Tower, the Automobile City and Changchun Film Studio.
