He graduated from the Department of Traditional Chinese Medicine of Shandong Medical College in 1975 and has been engaged in clinical and teaching work of traditional Chinese medicine for nearly 40 years. From 1995 to 2004, he served as the director of the department of traditional Chinese medicine and the teaching and research section of traditional Chinese medicine.
