People's Daily Online, Tokyo, January 11 (Li Muhang) According to Asahi Shimbun, January 10 is Japan's "Adult Day". On the same day, many Japanese young people welcomed the "adult style" in the anxiety caused by the rapid spread of the variant strain of Omicron. In order to prevent the spread of the epidemic and avoid crowd infection, all districts of Tokyo Metropolitan Government limited the number of people entering the adult ceremony, and held it in multiple sessions to disperse the crowd. Individual adult venues also require participants to fill in their names and contact information for future search.

It is understood that about 4000 people participated in the adult ceremony held in East Dujiang District, Tokyo. In order to prevent and control the epidemic, the Jiangdong District Government held adult style ceremonies in multiple sessions to avoid too dense population, and the number of visitors was also controlled below 50% of the quota. At the same time, the time for holding the adult style is shortened from 45 minutes to 30 minutes.

Takahashi Taoxiang, a 20-year-old new adult, was very happy to meet his former friends at the adult ceremony and took a group photo with them. She said, "It's great to see my old friends at the adult ceremony. I have to tell grandma that I joined the adult ceremony today!"

Zhe Jujun, a 20-year-old college student, said that due to the COVID-19 epidemic, the college entrance ceremony was canceled, so he has not bought a suit so far. This time, in order to participate in the adult style, I went to the store specially to rent kimonos. He said: "This period is like a turning point in history. In the future, even if the COVID-19 epidemic is over, we hope to continue to hold the adult style in the form of online and offline."

In addition, the adult style in Shinagawa District, Tokyo, has limited the number of people entering the venue, and needs to make an appointment through LINE or phone in advance. The adult style in the horse training area also needs to be reserved in advance, and the speech session of the district head is also sent to each participant in written form, which further shortens the holding time of the adult style.

As a part of the epidemic prevention and control, those who go to Geshi District to participate in the adult style must register their personal information on the same day, such as phone numbers, so that in the event of an infection, the local government and medical institutions can contact them as soon as possible.

For fear of further spread of the epidemic, the government of Shinjuku District cancelled the plan of holding adult style as it did in 2021. However, a special area for young people to take commemorative photos is still set up in the King Plaza Hotel.
