In the lesson "Taking the Train" in the first volume of the third grade edition of Beijing Normal University, students had their own calculation method after independent thinking about how to calculate 72 × 5. I asked them to communicate with each other in the group first, and then the whole class shared a variety of algorithms. Everyone scrambles to speak. Some algorithms are: 70 × 5=350, 2 × 5=10350+10=360; Some algorithms are: 80 × 5=400, 8 × 5=140400-40=360; Some algorithms are: 5 × 2=10, then half of 72 is 36, 36 × 10=360; There is also column vertical type... There are many algorithms. It seems that they have achieved the expected effect of "algorithm diversification". I was very proud, but I still asked habitually: "Are there any different algorithms?" At this time, a student stood up and said, "I calculate it like this: divide 72 into 8 × 9, calculate 8 × 5 first, get 40, then multiply 9, and the result is 360." I really smiled on my face and in my heart! Because this lesson not only enables students to learn how to calculate in solving problems, but also realizes the diversity of algorithms, and achieves the intended goal of this lesson. More importantly, let students know how to communicate in groups; How to listen, learn and reflect to optimize the algorithm; How to evaluate each other; How to learn mathematics and so on. At the same time, it also made me understand that teachers' timely and appropriate evaluation in the classroom can not only stimulate students, but also guide students to learn more effectively.
The teaching of this class was not successful. After analysis, there are three main reasons:
1、 Incomplete analysis of teaching materials
The teaching content of this lesson is multiplication of one digit by two digits, and multiplication of three digits with carry. The focus of teaching is the teaching of mathematics and theory. I did not highlight and implement this focus in teaching, but paid attention to some formal and superficial things, and did not go deep into the textbooks.
2、 Unreasonable exercise design
The exercise design is not hierarchical and challenging, and the feedback does not reflect the problems that most students have. In the future teaching, we should pay attention to the hierarchical and effectiveness of the exercise design, and in the feedback, we should deeply dig out the students' thinking and existing problems.
3、 Unreasonable teaching form
The teaching form should be effective, conducive to the completion of learning tasks, and able to stimulate students' interest in learning. The teaching of this class is in the form of passing the examination, which is similar to the previous one. In addition, there is a lack of motivational language in the teaching. The students' interest in learning is not high, resulting in low learning efficiency.
