During the Dragon Boat Festival, Guo Xiaofei's "Songs of Chu" chapter theme painting exhibition recently opened in the Quzi Cultural Park in Miluo City to commemorate the world's historical and cultural celebrity and the great patriotic poet Qu Yuan in a unique way.
Guo Xiaofei, a painter and master of epigraphy and calligraphy, learned epigraphy and calligraphy from Qi Liangchi and Li Li when he was more than 10 years old. He has persevered for more than 30 years and published a series of monographs on Qi Baishi's art, such as Qi Baishi's Printing Art and Qi Baishi's Calligraphy Art.
Living in Hunan and Chu, I like reading Chuci. In his spare time, Guo Xiaofei used the real scenes of Miluo River and Dongting Lake area to draw pictures, and collected the chapters and sentences of the songs of Chu, and drew 100 pictures of the title lines of "Songs of Chu", showing the local customs of Miluo. Gong Xudong, vice chairman of the Provincial Writers' Association, said after viewing the paintings, "These works integrate Qu Zi Temple, Dragon Boat Race, New City Ancient Town, and Stray Birds on the River Beach into the paintings.
