Xinhua News Agency, Guangzhou, March 25 (Reporter Wei Meng) With the theme of "public welfare culture · inheritance and development", the 2024 Youth Public Welfare Annual Conference of Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area was launched in Zhuhai, Guangdong Province on March 23. On the same day, the conference released eight categories of 103 supporting projects, including poverty alleviation teaching assistants and public welfare exchange practices, which will be carried out throughout the year. At the same time, the "Youth Public Welfare Annual Conference Cup" Dawan District baseball and softball invitational tournament in Xiaolan Town, Zhongshan City, Guangdong Province in 2024 was launched.

The conference was hosted by the Soong Ching Ling Foundation of China, and co sponsored by the Soong Ching Ling Foundation of Guangdong Province, the Los Angeles Foundation of Hong Kong, and the Macao Foundation. Liu Wei, director of China Soong Ching Ling Foundation and world table tennis champion, was invited to make a keynote speech. She said that under the guidance of Mr. Soong Ching ling's spirit of "helping the people who need help most", she actively devoted herself to public welfare undertakings, continued the spirit of public welfare, and encouraged young people to "be the best themselves, and everyone can become a champion".

Teenager representatives from Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao shared their experience of participating in public welfare activities and volunteer services.

You Haoxue, a Hong Kong student, said that he would always go farther and farther on the public welfare road with a sincere heart, and use every sincere volunteer service to warm others. When talking about the most impressive thing on the road of public welfare, Huang Jingyou, a student from Macao, said: "I really get more than I pay for doing volunteer work."

In the afternoon of that day, more than 50 young people from Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao visited the Zhuhai Space Center and experienced the development and changes of China's aerospace field and the charm of national scientific and technological progress. Chen Zhuofeng, a Hong Kong student, said that through listening to the explanation, he was shocked by China's advanced aerospace technology, and also sincerely proud of the country's strength. Ji Shiqi, a student from Macao, believes that this visit has broadened our vision and strengthened our confidence. In the future, we should work hard and keep pace with Shaohua, and make unremitting efforts to build Macao and the motherland.
