Recently, Huang Weiting, a teacher from the College of Agriculture of Guizhou University, was invited to participate in the flower arrangement contest of the 2024 Chengdu World Horticultural Expo and won the gold medal.

Huang Weiting's award-winning work is entitled "Beautiful Future of Water and Flower in Sichuan". Inspired by the natural beauty and future prosperity of Sichuan (formerly known as Sichuan), the work skillfully uses a variety of flowers such as Jialan, Phalaenopsis, calla lily, and other modern floral techniques such as architecture, binding, and pasting to show the diversity and vitality of flowers in Sichuan. The use of green bamboos and bamboo circles in the works not only symbolizes the indomitable and united spirit of the people of Sichuan, but also symbolizes the firm belief of the people of Sichuan to work together for a better future.

It is reported that Huang Weiting has taught the course "Flower Arrangement Art" for more than ten years, and is committed to teaching the latest flower art concepts and techniques to students. Its classroom content is enlightening and high-level, becoming one of the most popular public elective courses in the school. Huang Weiting also edited the "14th Five Year Plan" textbook of the State Forestry and Grassland Administration, Flower Arrangement Art and Flower Design, which was officially published in February 2024.
