Guanling Buyi and Miao Autonomous County, located in the central part of Guizhou Province, is under the jurisdiction of Anshun City. It is located in the slope zone that is inclined to the hills of Guangxi on the south side of the eastern ridge slope of the Yunnan Guizhou Plateau. The northeast and northwest are adjacent to Zhenning Autonomous County and Liuzhi Special Zone, and the southwest is bounded by Beipanjiang River and faces Qinglong, Xingren and Zhenfeng counties.
Guanling County covers a total area of 1468 square kilometers, with a total population of 323092 (2013), including 197571 ethnic minorities. There are 22 ethnic groups living in Buyi, Miao, Han, Gelao, Yi, etc. The county people's government is located in Guansuo Town. In Guanling County, there is Baling River Bridge, the highest bridge in China, Mucheng River Rural Tourism Area, a national agricultural tourism demonstration site, and Huajiang Grand Canyon scenic spot known as the Earth Crack.
