From April 12 to 13, light to moderate rain fell in Lintao County, and rain mixed with snow fell in mountainous areas. Among the 18 towns in the county, half of the towns have 24-hour precipitation of more than 10 mm. Yujing Town, which has the largest precipitation, is 21.6 mm.
Since April, the rainfall in Lintao County has continued to be relatively low, coupled with the rapid rise of spring temperature, which has led to increased evaporation of farmland soil moisture and the spread of drought, bringing serious adverse effects on spring cultivation production. The "timely rain" is large in magnitude, long in duration and relatively evenly distributed in time and space, which effectively alleviates the early drought in various regions and creates extremely favorable conditions for the ongoing production of spring ploughing and spring sowing.
As of 16:00 on the 13th, the precipitation is still continuing and has turned to sleet. Lintao County Meteorological Bureau issued a blue frost warning signal at 14:00 on the 13th. It is expected that in the next 48 hours, most parts of Lintao County will have frost in the morning, and the minimum ground temperature will drop below 0 ℃, which will have adverse effects on crops and remind the public to take precautions against cooling weather.
