Performance characteristics of FRP pultrusion profiles
1.1 Corrosion resistance
The pultrusion profile has excellent corrosion resistance, which can resist the corrosion of various gas and liquid mediums such as acid, alkali, organic solvent and salt to varying degrees, and never rust. According to the medium type and temperature requirements of the actual application, there are o-benzene, m-benzene, vinyl and other types of pultrusion profile for selection. 1.2 Light weight and high strength
The glass fiber content of pultruded profiles is higher than that of other composite molding processes, so the longitudinal strength is quite high, equivalent to that of steel. The density of pultruded profiles is only about a quarter of that of steel, so the specific strength is much higher than that of steel. The modulus of pultruded profiles is lower than that of steel, usually only 1/7-1/10 of that of steel.
1.3 Anti aging
The pultrusion profile is made of high-quality thermosetting resin and glass fiber system, which is different from the general thermoplastics. The normal service life of the product can reach 20 years. Adding anti ultraviolet agent and using polyester fiber felt can obtain * * good anti-aging effect.
1.4 Easy maintenance
The pultrusion profile is made by mixing pigment into resin. The color of the product can be freely mixed according to the customer's requirements. It is not easy to fade, does not need paint maintenance, and has self-cleaning effect.
1.5 Excellent electromagnetic performance
The pultruded profiles have excellent electrical insulation, no electromagnetism and spark, and can be used in equipment areas with conductive hazards, sensitive to magnetism, and flammable and explosive places.
1.6 Thermal performance
The pultruded profile is a kind of thermal insulation material, and its coefficient of thermal expansion is much lower than that of ordinary plastics. The pultruded profile has excellent mechanical properties at low temperatures and will not melt at high temperatures, but its strength and modulus will be reduced to a certain extent at high temperatures. Generally, the applicable temperature range of pultruded profiles is - 50 ℃ - 100 ℃.
