15MnNiNbDR used for low temperature pressure vessels belongs to the executive standard of low alloy steel
15MnNiNbDR is a kind of low temperature pressure vessel steel plate
The grade of 15MnNiNbDR steel is represented by the average carbon content, alloy element letters and the Chinese phonetic alphabet of "low" and "capacity" for cryogenic pressure vessels. The current large thickness of 15MnNiNbDR is 60mm.
With the development of large-scale petrochemical construction projects, there are more and more spherical pressure vessels containing cryogenic media, and cryogenic spherical tanks have more stringent requirements than normal temperature spherical tanks in terms of design, material selection, manufacturing, installation and acceptance. In GB3531 Low Alloy Steel Plates for Low Temperature Pressure Vessels, the technical requirements for low temperature impact toughness of 16MnDR and 15MnNiNbDR are respectively - 40 ℃ Akv ≥ 24J and - 45 ℃ Akv ≥ 27J. In order to meet the construction demand of domestic large-scale petrochemical ethylene spherical tank at lower temperature, some steel plants have added trace elements such as V, Nb and Ni allowed by GB3531 on the basis of greatly improving the metallurgical quality of steel. The strength and toughness of existing low temperature pressure vessel steel are improved, and 15MnNiNbDR (- 50 ℃ low temperature impact AKV>60J, σ b ≥ 530MPa) steel plate is successfully developed.
