This afternoon, the League of Heroes officially released a video introduction, announcing that the 2024 LPL Summer Games will use a new competition system, and the League of Heroes finally ushered in the global BP era.

According to the official introduction, under the new competition system, the regular season will be divided into four stages: lottery grouping, fixed group competition, group competition and position race. At the same time, the new fearless recruitment mode (global BP mode) will be used in the scheduled group match stage.
At the stage of drawing lots and grouping, 17 teams will be divided into 4 seed pools according to the results of the spring competition. Through drawing lots, parallel grouping will be achieved to ensure that each team has 4 seed pools.
The fearless recruitment mode is adopted in the fixed group stage. In the same round of BO3, the used heroes cannot be selected again. After the ranking is determined through the double cycle BO3, the last two of each group will enter Group B, while the other teams will enter Group A.
In the intra group competition, the competitive recruitment mode (regular BP) is adopted at this stage. The two groups of A and B carry out single cycle BO3 respectively, and determine 7 playoff teams and 4 eliminated teams. The remaining 6 teams will determine the last 3 playoff places.
