On June 15, the Southeast Network (Fujian Daily reporter Wu Hong) reported that the Ludao Island was verdant and full of sand gulls in June. Youth from both sides of the Taiwan Straits gathered again to attend the 22nd Taiwan Straits Youth Forum. Among the young people in Taiwan, there are not only community builders, but also legal and financial talents; There are not only agricultural experts in the field, but also beautiful stewardesses in the sky; Both the baseball team members of the first cross-strait joint team on the mainland, and college students with dreams... Although they come from different fields, they are eager to talk about friendship, collision views, and the future here.

Dare to be a pathfinder of "eating crabs"

"Looking down at the mainland from the plane, I feel that the land is vast and the mountains and rivers are beautiful, which not only makes me yearn for it, but also confirms my original choice." Chen Yuxuan, who has worked in the mainland for seven years, is one of the first Taiwan flight attendants recruited by Xiamen Airlines. In 2022, she will be promoted to be the flight attendant of Xiamen Airlines. This beautiful, gentle and sweet Taiwanese girl has gained the growth of "breaking the cocoon into a butterfly" in the mainland.

Seven years ago, Chen Yuxuan had just graduated from college when Xiamen Airlines came to Taiwan for the first time to recruit flight attendants, so she immediately signed up and became a "crab eater". At that time, her relatives and friends were worried that she could not adapt to life in Fujian.

"In fact, Xiamen is very similar to Taiwan in terms of language, diet, climate and environment. The most important thing is that the people here are very friendly and enthusiastic towards Taiwan compatriots, which makes me feel at home at once." In Chen Yuxuan's view, the vast world of the mainland has broadened her vision, and the development platform provided by Xiamen Airlines has given her the opportunity to constantly improve herself. "Therefore, only by jumping out of the comfort zone and taking a walk to the mainland, can we know how vast the world is here." Chen Yuxuan appealed to the Taiwan youth.

it happens that there is a similar case. Taiwan girl Wu Ruoyu is also a "crab eater". On March 27 this year, Ruoyu Wu took the tractor driving license test in Pingtan. She was also the first Taiwan compatriot to take the tractor driving license test in the mainland.

"The agricultural industry in the mainland has broad prospects for development, and I hope to show my talents and realize my ambitions here." In 2017, Wu Ruoyu, who has been engaged in agricultural industry research in Taiwan, came to Pingtan across the sea to provide technical services and guidance for agricultural enterprises in Pingtan. When talking about the reasons for the certificate, Wu Ruoyu said that he hoped to become a "certified" agricultural machinery operator, so that he could better understand the farmers' feelings in the field, so that his professional knowledge could be transformed into a landing mode of operation.

In Wu Ruoyu's mind, she always has a dream that she can use what she has learned to empower modern agriculture with science and technology, and Pingtan has given her such a stage and space. "Pingtan is the common home of both sides of the Taiwan Straits. There are good policies, many fast developing villages, and people who trust and support me," Wu Ruoyu said.

Willing to be a "ferryman" for landing in Taiqing

At the same time, the Taiwanese youth who came across the sea began to serve more Taiwanese youth as "ferries".

"I just want to tell the students from my own experience that there is a big market and many opportunities here, as I introduced." Before coming to Xiamen, Yang Yuxuan was a teacher of Taiwan Union University. When she was in Taiwan, she did community planning while teaching. Every winter and summer vacation, she also brought students to Xiamen for exchange. Whenever she suggested that students could try to develop in the mainland after graduation, students would always ask her, "Teacher, why don't you go by yourself?"

Because of this, Yang Yuxuan resolutely decided to embark on the "Heron" development and actively participate in community building and rural revitalization. More than five years later, Yang Yuxuan learned from Taiwan's concept of community building, went deep into the village to carry out research, explore and protect the culture and endowment of the countryside, and also attracted many Taiwanese youth to join the community and rural construction in the mainland.

Now, in Xiamen, Yang Yuxuan has not only formed her own team, but also taken over her husband and son. She told her Taiwanese friends with practical actions: "Whether you are a single youth or have a family or a room, it is suitable to come to Xiamen to start a business. Because there are not only many good policies and broad markets, but also good partners who can work together to create a better future."

"The stage is as big as the heart is big." This sentence is most suitable to describe Lai Yanjun, a Taiwanese girl. She is a "slash youth": she is also a university teacher, lawyer, mediator, and volunteer for public welfare and law popularization. She gives full play to her director, provides free legal advice, public welfare and law popularization services for Taiwanese who work, start businesses and study in the mainland, and assists them in dealing with marriage, labor, contract and other disputes.

"Before me, there were many Taiwan seniors who were glowing and contributing to cross-strait exchanges. Now that this baton has been handed over to me, I will work hard to realize their dreams and hand it over to the next young friend." Lai Yanjun said that the youth on both sides of the Taiwan Straits have never stopped in this relay race, and will work together to achieve the best results in the new journey.

Be happy to be a practitioner of cross Strait integration and development

The sea is wide enough for fish to leap, and the sky is high enough for birds to fly. As Fujian accelerates the construction of a demonstration zone for the integration and development of the two sides of the Taiwan Straits, highlights of exchanges and cooperation between Fujian and Taiwan in various fields emerge frequently, attracting more Taiwanese youth to pursue their dreams. The establishment of the Fujian Sea Shark baseball team is one of them.

Baseball has a long history in Taiwan, with high public participation, and is loved by young people. The Opinions of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and the State Council on Supporting Fujian to Explore a New Road for Cross Strait Integrated Development and Build a Cross Strait Integrated Development Demonstration Zone (hereinafter referred to as the Opinions) issued last September proposed to support Fujian and Taiwan to carry out cooperation in baseball and softball and other youth featured sports projects. In this context, the Fujian Provincial Baseball Team came into being and was named "Fujian Sea Shark".

This cross-strait integrated baseball team has 21 athletes and 4 coaches, including 2 coaches and 6 athletes from Taiwan. Just last month, "Fujian Sea Shark" won the first win of China National Baseball League (Chengdu).

"Although it takes time for the players from Fujian and Taiwan to get together, they are more likely to collide with the power of 1+1>2." Zeng Huawei, the head coach from Taichung, Taiwan, said that when he came to Fujian to open a new chapter in his baseball career, Fujian's determination to develop baseball made him believe that the road in the future will be wider and wider.

At the forum, there are still many Taiwan and Qingdao that aim at Fujian's first policy and are happy to be practitioners of cross Strait integrated development. Chen Zhuyin, who has served as a substitute for Shu Qi and Chen Yihan in Taiwan, is optimistic about the "guiding Fujian and Taiwan industries to cooperate in the production of film and television products" proposed in the Opinions, and has decided to carry out the production of micro films, short plays and other film and television products in Fujian; Li Liangyi, a student of Yangming Jiaotong University in Taiwan, just followed Ma Ying jeou to the mainland for a visit. He learned that "to promote Taiwanese students to study in Fujian" and "to encourage Taiwanese people to come to Fujian for employment" put forward in the Opinions, and expressed his hope to have the opportunity to come to Fujian for practice, employment and entrepreneurship

Pursue your dreams, and live up to your youth. We welcome more young Taiwanese with dreams to come to Fujian and the mainland to show their talents and realize their dreams in the vast world.

Sowing Hope and Cultivating the Future

Fujian Daily/Wu Hong

As an important platform for cross Straits youth exchanges, since the establishment of the Cross Straits Youth Forum in 2003, tens of thousands of cross Straits youth friends have known each other through the forum, getting closer and closer, and writing the youth chapter of cross Straits integration and development with true feelings. This fully demonstrates the strong willingness of youth on both sides of the Straits to exchange and cooperate, and fully demonstrates the common aspiration of compatriots on both sides of the Straits to "pursue peace, development, exchanges and cooperation".

Fujian is the first home for Taiwanese enterprises to land. In recent years, Fujian has actively explored a new path of integration and development between the two sides of the Taiwan Straits. It has not only introduced a series of policies and measures to support and encourage Taiwanese youth to come to Fujian for employment, entrepreneurship, study and life, but also continuously deepened exchanges and cooperation in the fields of science and technology, economy and trade, and humanities between Fujian and Taiwan, enabling more and more young Taiwanese to bravely walk out of "small happiness" and pursue their dreams across the sea. Also let more young people in Taiwan be willing to use themselves as a bridge to connect the two sides of the Taiwan Straits and jointly explore the path of integrated development between the two sides of the Taiwan Straits.

Up to now, more than 8000 young Taiwanese have come to Fujian to study, and more than 40000 young Taiwanese have come to Fujian for practical training, employment and entrepreneurship. They took root in Fujian and actively participated in the construction of the new Fujian, showing a moving picture of youth on both sides of the Straits working together to create the future.

The hope of both sides lies in the youth, and the responsibility lies in the youth. We expect that the Cross Strait Youth Forum will provide more diversified and richer opportunities for youth on both sides of the Straits to exchange, cooperate and learn from each other, help the youth on both sides of the Straits to have a larger "circle of friends", pool the youth strength of the integrated development of both sides of the Straits, sow hope and work together for the future.
