Fujian implements a new round of "Silk Road Maritime Transport" port and shipping development award and subsidy policy

On May 14, the Southeast Network (our reporter Lin Xianchang), in order to promote the construction of the "Silk Road Maritime Transport" and help the high-quality development of Fujian ports and shipping, from 2024 to 2026, the provincial finance will continue to arrange funds of 200 million yuan per year to support the implementation of a new round of "Silk Road Maritime Transport" port and shipping development award and subsidy policies.

The reward and subsidy policy focuses on promoting the expansion of the "Silk Road Maritime" route, the development of container transit business, and the development of sea rail intermodal transport. It focuses on awarding new international container routes, the expansion of the "Silk Road Maritime" route, the domestic branch of container foreign trade water water transfer, container sea rail intermodal transport, container shipping scale enterprises, etc. On this basis, the new round of reward and subsidy policy also includes the development of Minjiang River inland container transportation, the expansion of Minjiang River inland container cargo sources, and the addition of Fujian Taiwan shipping ships and enterprises into the scope of rewards.

"Silk Road Maritime Transport" is the first "Belt and Road" international comprehensive logistics service brand and platform with shipping as the theme in Fujian. Since the establishment of special funds in 2021 to support the implementation of the "Silk Road Maritime Transport" port and shipping development award and subsidy policy, by the end of 2023, the total number of "Silk Road Maritime Transport" routes has reached more than 100, reaching more than 100 ports in Northeast Asia, Southeast Asia, South Asia, the Middle East, Africa and Europe, and the number of alliance members has broken through 300.
