01  Additional driving conditions

Those who have already held a motor vehicle driving license and apply for increasing the vehicle type to be driven shall fail to record 12 points in this scoring cycle and the latest scoring cycle before the application. The following provisions shall also be met when applying for the addition of light tractor trailer, medium bus, tractor and large bus driving models:

Application for adding light towing trailer (C6) quasi driving vehicle

Have obtained the qualification for driving small cars and small automatic transmission vehicles for more than one year.

Application for adding medium-sized passenger cars (B1) quasi driving vehicle

Have obtained the qualification for driving city buses, large trucks, small cars, small automatic transmission vehicles, low-speed trucks or tricycles for more than two years, and have not recorded 12 points in the last two consecutive scoring cycles before application.

Application for adding heavy towing trailer (A2) quasi driving model

Having obtained the license to drive medium-sized buses or large trucks for more than two years, or the license to drive large buses for more than one year, and failing to score 12 points in the last two consecutive scoring cycles before application.

Application for increasing large passenger cars (A1) quasi driving model

Have obtained the qualification for driving city buses and medium-sized buses for more than two years, the qualification for driving large trucks for more than three years, or the qualification for driving heavy tractor trailers for more than one year, and have not recorded 12 points in the last three consecutive scoring cycles before application.  

Accepting full-time driving Vocational education students

Those who have obtained the qualification for driving small cars in school and have not recorded 12 points in this scoring cycle and the latest scoring cycle before application can apply for adding large buses and heavy tractor trailer driving models.

02  Examination subjects

1  Those who already hold the driving license of small automatic transmission vehicles and apply for increasing the driving license of small vehicles shall take the examination of subject 2 and subject 3. (i.e. Exempt Subject I)

2  Those who have already held driver's licenses for driving large buses, city buses, medium-sized buses, large trucks, small cars, and small automatic cars to apply for increasing the driving license for light tractor trailers should take the examination of subject 2 and subject 3, general knowledge of safe and civilized driving. (That is, subject 1 and subject 3 road driving skills are exempted, which is commonly known as subject 3 road test)

3  Those who have already held a driving license for mopeds and applied to increase the driving license for ordinary tricycles and ordinary bicycles, or who have held an ordinary bicycles driving license and applied to increase the driving license for ordinary tricycles, shall take the examination in subjects 2 and 3. (i.e. Exempt Subject I)

4  The driver of a motor vehicle who has a license to drive a large bus, a heavy tractor trailer, a city bus, a medium-sized bus, a large truck, a small car, or a small automatic transmission vehicle has changed his physical conditions, does not meet the conditions of the license to drive a motor vehicle, but meets the conditions of the license to drive a small automatic transmission vehicle for the disabled, and applies for a change, Subjects 2 and 3 should be examined. (i.e. Exempt Subject I)

03  matters needing attention

Under any of the following circumstances, it is not allowed to apply for driving models of large buses, heavy tractors, city buses, medium-sized buses, and large trucks:

1. Those who bear more than the same responsibility in case of death caused by traffic accidents;

2. Driving a motor vehicle while drunk;

3. Driving a motor vehicle after drinking again;

4. Driving a motor vehicle after taking or injecting drugs, or having records of implementing community drug rehabilitation, compulsory isolation drug rehabilitation, and community rehabilitation measures;

5. Driving a motor vehicle in pursuit of racing, overcrowding, speeding, or transporting dangerous chemicals in violation of the regulations on safety management of dangerous chemicals, which constitutes a crime;

6. The motor vehicle driver's license has been revoked or revoked for less than ten years;

7. Driving a motor vehicle without obtaining a motor vehicle driver's license, causing serious injury or death to persons in a traffic accident for which they are equally or more responsible.
