According to Xinhua News Agency, Fuzhou, May 16, the 26th Cross Strait Economic and Trade Fair opened in Fuzhou, Fujian Province on May 16. With the theme of "deepening cross Strait integration and building the first home", this session of the Fair focuses on the implementation of the Opinions of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and the State Council on Supporting Fujian to explore a new path for cross Strait integration and development and to build a demonstration area for cross Strait integration and development, highlighting "promoting integration through connectivity, promoting integration through benefits, and promoting integration through feelings", aimed at deepening cross Strait exchanges and cooperation in various fields We will promote the construction of demonstration areas for integrated development across the Taiwan Straits in a high-quality way. Song Tao, Director of the Taiwan Affairs Office of the CPC Central Committee and the Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council, and Zhou Zuyi, Secretary of the Fujian Provincial Party Committee attended the opening ceremony and delivered speeches.

After 30 years of development, the Fair has become a well-known comprehensive economic and trade exchange activity across the Straits. This session of the Fair lasts for four days, and its main activities include the opening ceremony and cross-strait exchange and sharing meeting, the cooperation and exchange activities of the cross-strait chambers of commerce in 2024, and the docking and exchange meeting for the 30th anniversary of the establishment of the Fuzhou Municipal Taiwan Association. More than 50 industrial and commercial groups from the island and more than 1000 people from all walks of life in the island attended the conference to talk about the glory of Fujian Taiwan integration and development.
