Since 2023, under the leadership of the town party committee and the town government, the town law enforcement office and the water affairs department, in strict accordance with the spirit of the document "Guangdong Provincial Water Resources Department's Reminder Letter on Further Cracking Down on Illegal Sand Mining", have launched a heavy attack on the illegal "ant relocation" type illegal sand mining within the main stream of Hanjiang in our town, to curb the "ant relocation" The situation of illegal sand mining has expanded and spread, and has achieved remarkable results.

In 2023, our town will participate in the Hanjiang joint law enforcement action carried out by the Provincial Water Resources Department to cut off the "ant move" type illegal sand mining under the river channel. Throughout the year, 61 "ant moving" type river sand motorcycles, 1 agricultural four-wheel vehicle, 2 six wheel vehicles, and 2 trucks were seized. During the inspection, 4 small sand extraction equipment were found and smashed, and a batch of operating tools such as shovels, snakeskin bags, plastic buckets, and backing plates were seized; A total of 5 persons suspected of illegal sand theft have been arrested and are being investigated for evidence. They will be transferred to the public security organ for investigation and punishment depending on the seriousness of the case.

Next, according to the spirit of the sixth meeting of the Standing Committee of the 14th People's Congress of Guangdong Province on November 23, 2023 and the spirit requirements of the second amendment document of the Decision on Amending Six Local Regulations including the Regulations of Guangdong Province on the Administration of River Sand Mining, our town will further strengthen the management of river patrol and continue to maintain a high pressure and strict control over river related violations, We will fight when we are exposed, investigate and deal with every case we find, and never tolerate it, so as to ensure that the "mother river" is clear.
