[Window of Hong Kong and Macao] Hangzhou Library and the Library of University of Macao held the "Window of Hangzhou" themed book exhibition and the "Charm of Hangzhou" urban style picture exhibition

         Under the guidance and support of the Hangzhou Hong Kong and Macao Affairs Office and the Hangzhou Municipal Bureau of Culture, Radio, Television and Tourism, the "Window of Hangzhou" themed book exhibition and the "Charm of Hangzhou" urban style picture exhibition jointly held by Hangzhou Library and the Library of the University of Macau were unveiled in the Sky Garden of the Library of the University of Macau. Wu Jianzhong, Curator of the University of Macau Library, Wang Guoqiang, Deputy Curator, Liang Dehai, Assistant Curator, Shui Bing, Professor of the Law School of the University of Macau and Director of the Public Administration Training Center, Gong Gang, Professor of the Humanities School and others attended the opening ceremony.




After careful preparation by the colleagues of the two libraries, the "Window of Hangzhou" zone was successfully settled in the University of Macau Library. This time, more than 150 theme books carefully selected by Hangzhou Library were displayed in the special area, covering Hangzhou's history, culture, tourism, economy and other aspects. At the same time, 100 volumes of Hangzhou Tourism Guide produced by Hangzhou Municipal Bureau of Culture, Radio, Television and Tourism were available for on-site reading, providing readers with a richer way to understand Hangzhou. Nearly 50 photographic works of the "Charm of Hangzhou" Hangzhou City Style Photo Exhibition were provided by Hangzhou Library, which comprehensively displayed Hangzhou's history, culture, natural scenery, urban construction and cultural landscape.


               

                                                                                                            



Liu Dong, the curator of Hangzhou Library, said in his congratulatory letter that this is the first joint landing project between Hangzhou Library and the University of Macau Library after the signing of a cooperation agreement in 2023. He hoped that through photography pictures and literature materials rich in Hangzhou's humanistic characteristics, Macao master students and Macao citizens would better understand Hangzhou and experience the "beauty of Hangzhou".



Curator Wu Jianzhong said in his speech that both Hangzhou and Macao are famous historical and cultural cities, and the cooperation and exchange between the two libraries is of great significance. This exhibition is the result of the cooperation between the two libraries, and also a window for cultural exchanges between the two places. The two museums will continue to strengthen exchanges and deepen cooperation, and continue to provide a display platform for readers in both places to deeply understand each other's regional cultural characteristics. This exhibition will last until May 31, 2024.
