Integrate ordinary people's stories into the play
From the perspective of an ordinary family in Macao, the TV drama Macao Family, which commemorates the 20th anniversary of Macao's return to the motherland, reflects the changes of the times before and after Macao's return to the motherland. In the play, Ren Dahua plays Liang Dingwen, the inheritor of Macao's "Liang Ji Bakery", who is not good at words, but integrates love into his family through simple words and deeds. In order to play this role well, Ren Dahua went to Macao to learn how to make almond cake. "Because I didn't learn how to make almond cake, I couldn't feel the ups and downs in the process. Only when I knew how hard it was to make cake, could I put it in the play." After 44 years of acting, Ren Dahua won numerous awards. When asked about the know-how of developing acting skills, Ren Dahua said frankly that he was to observe and experience life more.
"I'm a curious person." Ren likes to spend two hours sitting in a coffee shop, watching people coming and going on the street, and capturing their characteristics; He also likes to chat with the staff on the set, listen to the stories that happen to ordinary people, and then put these stories in his own movies.

In recent years, Ren Dahua is still learning to use the iPad to paint watercolours.
