People's Daily Online, Beijing, May 27 (Reporter Yang Lei) On May 26, the 2024 Fujian Taimu Mountain Tunnel Crossing Challenge was held in Taimu Mountain Scenic Area, Fuding City. Nearly 600 athletes from all over the country participated.

The event is under the guidance of Fujian Provincial Sports Bureau and Fujian Radio, Film and Television Group, and hosted by Ningde Municipal Sports Bureau and Fuding Municipal People's Government. This year is the third competition of Fujian Taimu Mountain Tunnel Crossing Challenge. This competition combines the beautiful scenery, mountain and water legends, history and culture of Taimu Mountain, and at the same time marries the national style characteristics to create the unique cultural color of the country's first "Tunnel Crossing Challenge" in the way of "sports+tourism+culture". According to the unique mountain and water and cultural characteristics of Taimu Mountain, the track passes through all the way, and is full of the beautiful scenery of "dangerous peaks, strange rocks, secluded caves, and fog". At the same time, the event advocates the ancient charm and national style. Some athletes participated in the event in ancient Chinese costumes, and experienced a sports and cultural adventure "spanning thousands of years".

After a fierce competition, Li Zhengyue won the first place in the men's group with 38 points and 58 points, while Wang Guolong and Luo Jinxin won the second and third places respectively. Guo Lihua won the first place in the women's group with a score of 47 minutes and 31 seconds. Lin Ting and Ji Xiaomin won the second and third places respectively.
