On the afternoon of April 25, the "Youth Dreams' 1396 'Chorus Singing for Twenty Years" Chorus Contest and the May 4th Commendation Conference for the 20th Anniversary of Shijiazhuang University were held in Shangwen Auditorium. More than 3000 school leaders, teachers and students participated in the conference.

The chorus competition invited Professor Li Jianlin, Chairman of Hebei New Literature and Art Group Association, Deputy Director of the Expert Committee of the Musicians Association, Dean of the School of Music of Hebei Media College, Liu Jianping, Member of the Chinese Musicians Association, Executive Director of the Chorus Association of Hebei Musicians Association, First Class Director of the Provincial TV Station, Dean of the School of Arts and Media of Hebei Institute of Engineering and Technology Five well-known domestic experts, including Professor Chen Hui, director of the China Chorus Association, member of the Creation Committee of the Hebei Music Association, vice chairman of the Choral Arts Committee, permanent conductor of the Hebei Symphony Orchestra Chorus, Professor Xu Xiujun, director of the music department of Shijiazhuang Preschool Teachers College and vice chairman of Shijiazhuang Vocal Music Society, served as judges.

In the solemn voice of the national anthem, the competition kicked off. The contestant teams from 14 colleges came on the stage in full dress and performed patriotic songs such as "Bless the motherland", "Go Forward the Communist Party of China", "Sing a folk song to the party", "The Power of Revival", and "The motherland will not forget" with passionate songs and enthusiasm. As a professional performance project, the Conservatory of Music, the School of International Exchange and the Leda International Art Institute sang "The Wanquan River is Clear and Clear" and "The Journey of Time" respectively. The students of the Stone Academy expressed their sincere love and blessing for the motherland with songs, which aroused strong resonance among the audience. After fierce competition, the School of Journalism and Media won the first prize, the School of Law and Society and the School of Foreign Languages won the second prize, the School of Biological Medicine, the School of Future Information Technology and the School of Teacher Education of the School of Chemical Engineering won the third prize, and the School of Music won the Special Contribution Award.

The conference commended the advanced collectives and individuals who had outstanding performance in the work of the Communist Youth League in the 2023-2024 academic year. This time, a total of 86 grass-roots league organizations were awarded the honorary titles of "General Branch of the May 4th Red Flag League", "Branch of the May 4th Red Flag League", "Advanced League Branch", etc; 1233 members of the Communist Youth League won the honorary titles of "Student Youth May 4th Medal", "Top Ten League Branch Secretary", "Upwardly Good Youth", "Outstanding League Cadre", and other outstanding league members.
