Reporters learned from the press conference of Jilin Provincial Tourism Trillion Level Action Plan (hereinafter referred to as "Action Plan") held by the Information Office of Jilin Provincial Government on the 7th that Jilin will comprehensively implement the "snow vacation for primary and secondary schools" and "snow vacation for employees" system, and call on the whole people, especially young people, to carry out snow and ice activities extensively.
Sun Guangzhi, Director of Jilin Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism, said that the Action Plan proposed 16 specific actions, which refined and implemented the major decision deployment of Jilin Province to build a "trillion level" tourism industry into concrete measures that can be implemented. Among them, five initiatives, such as the construction of the "Ice and Snow Silk Road" innovation pilot area, the urban and rural scenic spot action, the forest resource transformation action, the sports event diversion action, and the research tourism promotion action, focus on increasing product supply.
Sun Guangzhi introduced that in the construction of the innovation pilot area of the "Ice and Snow Silk Road", the finance of Jilin Province will invest no less than 30 million yuan of ice and snow coupons every year to meet the consumption needs of more people playing ice games and snow. We will fully implement the system of "snow vacation for primary and secondary schools" and "snow vacation for workers", and call on the whole people, especially young people, to carry out snow and ice activities extensively.

In recent years, focusing on promoting the development of the snow and ice industry and the snow and ice economy in Jilin Province, and promoting the revitalization of the old industrial base in Northeast China, the education system of Jilin Province has vigorously promoted the snow and ice sports into the campus work, and has explored and formed a campus snow and ice sports development model integrating snow and ice sports teaching, training, and competition.
Liu Xuejun, deputy director of Jilin Provincial Department of Education, introduced that Jilin Province has built 557 snow and ice sports featured schools, including 302 national snow and ice sports featured schools and 15 national Olympic education demonstration schools. Since 2018, a total of 41.14 million yuan has been invested to equip schools with snow and ice sports features with supplementary or alternative equipment. From 2022 to 2023, special "student ice and snow sports coupons" with a total amount of 10 million yuan will be issued to students in universities, middle schools and primary schools across the province to help them participate in ice and snow sports. Since 2019, the total number of students participating in ice and snow sports has exceeded one million every year.
"Jilin Provincial Department of Education will firmly seize the opportunity of the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics, vigorously develop campus ice and snow sports, and help the development of Jilin's ice and snow industry and ice and snow economy, based on the development of characteristic schools, with students' extensive participation as the goal, and with ice and snow competitions as the guide." Liu Xuejun introduced that, in specific actions, ice and snow sports will be included in the school physical education teaching content, the first week of winter vacation will be regarded as the "snow vacation" for primary and secondary schools, and students will be encouraged to enter the snow rink to participate in ice and snow sports. The ice and snow skills training for physical education teachers in primary and secondary schools across the province was held to improve their ice and snow sports skills and teaching ability. Every year, 300 primary and secondary school physical education teachers were trained at the provincial level to provide teachers for winter ice and snow sports sports classes. Jilin Provincial Department of Education will also work with Jilin Provincial Sports Bureau to organize winter winter camp activities for youth in Jilin Province, extensively carry out ice and snow sports or alternative sports competitions, give full play to the role of demonstration, guidance and driving, and promote primary and secondary school students in Jilin Province to cultivate fun in ice and snow sports.
